No longer produced in Wolverhampton, each model now utilizes the technical developments of today's manufacturing processes and lightweight tubing. The original Viking Clubmaster was first produced in 1961 and was designed for the hard riding clubman. It had an 'SS' frame and forks, G.B. alloy brakes, Williams C34 chain wheel set, Perry or Coventry chain and a Simples 3 speed Gear. The machine sold for £30.10s.0d. Today Viking brings this iconic British race bike bang up to date. Now fitted with a Shimano 14 speed indexed gear system for pin-sharp gear selection, Viking 36 hole double wall rims for strength and lightness. The Clubmaster is built around Vikings high tensile steel retro race frameset featuring steep angle chain stays and Vikings straight blade race forks.
