Product Description
The San Remo is the top 16 speed in the 2013 Viking road selection and is named after an annual cycle race between Milan and San Remo. It is the longest professional one-day race at 298 km. The San Remo is a double upgrade over the Echelon. It's constructed around Vikings 6061 lightweight aluminium top curve race frame frameset and is fitted with lightweight carbon fibre aero forks. Gear selection is achieved with Shimano STI gear/brake integrated shifters with Shimano front and rear derailleurs. Drive is through a Shimano double road 42/52T chainset on a cartridge bottom bracket with a Shimano 8 speed cassette. Powerful alloy dual pivot calliper brakes are fitted to slow the bike in all conditions. An ideal mid level bike for mid-long distance training. The larger 700c wheels, narrow tyres and higher gearing make it easier to achieve and maintain higher speeds, than a mountain bike or hybrid. The San Remo comes equipped with a 16 speed transmission, comprising of 12-23T 8 speed cassette on the rear and a alloy chainset 45/52T.
